CHAPTER 35

Qin Yinong: "Ruan Qin had a car accident?"

Guan Han: "..."

From Guan Han's indescribable expression, Qin Yinong realized the absurdity of her spontaneous remark. She put down the gardening shears in her hand, washed her hands in the yard, and invited Guan Han inside to talk more leisurely.

Guan Han placed the information about Mu Qingwu in front of her and said, "It was Miss Yao who sought out a senior manager and actively requested a change."

Qin Yinong looked skeptical.

Guan Han nodded vigorously twice and said, "It's true."

Qin Yinong reluctantly believed it. She picked up her water glass, took a sip, and pressed her lips tightly, concealing the smile on her face.

Guan Han looked at her eyes, which had curved up, and said, "Go ahead and laugh if you want. I've already laughed enough on the way here." Only she knew how shocked she had been upon hearing this news. The rabbit that they raised, or rather, their boss's rabbit had finally started to bite.

Qin Yinong: "Ahem."

She refused to laugh, determined to hold it in.

Qin Yinong poured her a cup of tea and lowered her head to look at Mu Qingwu's information, saying calmly, "Tell me in detail."

It was the duty of an excellent assistant to thoroughly understand the ins and outs of the situation in case the boss asked about it at any time. Guan Han cleared her throat and briefly recounted the story.

After listening, Qin Yinong nodded casually and flipped to the next page of the information as if nothing had happened. "Finally putting her intelligence to good use."

Guan Han: "..."

Qin Jie, do you know that your eyes are practically laughing? It was like a loving mother watching her cub grow up.

Qin Yinong might have heard Guan Han's inner thoughts as a hint of embarrassment flashed through her eyes. She coldly said, "Turn your face away."

Guan Han complied without hesitation.

Sigh, the number of times the boss gets angry out of embarrassment is increasing.

Qin Yinong pressed her fist against her lips and burst into silent laughter to her heart's content.

"Turn back."

Upon hearing the instruction, Guan Han calmly turned back around.

And that's how the conversation before came about.

"Her resume looks impressive, but the actress she previously managed was more focused on the television industry. Will she be able to navigate the film industry?" Qin Yinong's face showed hidden concerns. She was naturally inclined to worry, and now that Tang Ruoyao had finally found a good manager according to her wishes, she started worrying if her manager wouldn't have access to top resources.

Guan Han objectively said, "She is already the best manager in Star Media. Not everyone can compare to An Ling." She glanced at Qin Yinong and added in a detached tone, "Not all actors are like you either."

"I know." Qin Yinong tapped her knee with her index finger, lost in thought.

She was considering whether to help expand the network for Tang Ruoyao's manager.

Guan Han, as expected, understood her like a book and said, "Qin Jie, are you thinking of supporting her manager?"

Qin Yinong: "..."

The feeling of being seen through and having it spoken aloud was not pleasant, especially when it involved her privacy. Her expression turned somewhat cold for a moment.

Guan Han knew in advance that Qin Yinong would be displeased, but she had already prepared herself when she spoke up. She rarely did anything out of line, but Qin Yinong was too invested in Tang Ruoyao, and as the person in charge, she needed to remind her: "Didn't you decide to let go and not get involved anymore?"

Qin Yinong had already talked to An Ling. In the future, if they came across any negative information about Tang Ruoyao, unless it was something extremely serious, she could consult with An Ling before taking any action. Otherwise, they should let it go. To train her, the first step was to face the online criticisms. There was no artist who could completely avoid negative comments.

Qin Yinong's restless motherly heart, which was eager to act, was cooled down by Guan Han's reminder.

"Oh." Qin Yinong's expression seemed listless.

Guan Han couldn't help but suspect that she was just too idle, not in the sense of having nothing to do. Even though she had been ordered by Han Yuping not to act and take a break for a while, she couldn't sit still and went on to work as a producer. Qin Yinong was a workaholic, constantly involved in filming, very dedicated, and highly talented. She was one of the most outstanding actresses in China. However, from Guan Han's observation, Qin Yinong's passion for acting was largely driven by it being a job, diligently and conscientiously, just like her role as Qin Yinong's assistant. She could do it well, but it didn't necessarily mean she loved being an assistant.

Cultivating Tang Ruoyao could be considered one of the very few things that truly interested Qin Yinong.

Even if Qin Yinong was infuriated by her earlier, she would still be pleased and smile at any progress Tang Ruoyao made.

Guan Han took a deep breath secretly.

The analogy she used last time for Tang Ruoyao seemed quite appropriate. Wasn't Qin Yinong essentially playing a nurturing game?

A couple of years ago, there was a popular game called "Travel Frog." Countless parents worked hard to raise their little frog, and they would rejoice and shed tears of joy upon receiving a few postcards sent back by their little frog.

Just as she thought of the frog, a postcard arrived.

Guan Han's phone vibrated.

She unlocked the screen and saw a message from Tang Ruoyao in the chatbox, not a postcard.

"Qin Jie."

"Yes?"

"Miss Yao informed you about changing her manager." Guan Han handed her phone over.

Qin Yinong took a look and then tapped on another message.

Tang Ruoyao's report: [I'm going back to my hometown tomorrow. I have a flight at 10 a.m. I'll be back in a week.]

Qin Yinong recalled that Tang Ruoyao's hometown seemed to be in City Z, in the same province as herself, just one city away. Qin Yinong had no desire to return to her own hometown after leaving it, there was not even a trace of longing.

Her phone vibrated again.

Tang Ruoyao: [Has your anger subsided, sister?]

Qin Yinong stared at the message, her expression becoming complicated as she let out a sigh.

It seemed that no matter what she did, Tang Ruoyao would never get angry. She would only worry about whether Qin Yinong was angry or not. Occasionally, when she couldn't control her own emotions, she would suppress them and gradually grow silent within Qin Yinong's icy facade, adhering to the role of the caged canary. It was what Qin Yinong wanted, but seeing Tang Ruoyao trying so hard to please her, there was an indescribable sadness welling up in her heart.

What if...

Qin Yinong couldn't help but think, but as soon as she began to entertain such thoughts, her vision turned hazy, unable to see the future.

After sending the message, Tang Ruoyao tossed her phone onto the bed and plugged the hairdryer into the wall socket. She bent down to blow-dry her dark and thick damp hair, the sound of the wind coming out of the hairdryer unusually clear in the quiet room.

As the set lock screen time was reached, the phone screen automatically dimmed, but shortly after, it lit up again.

Tang Ruoyao switched off the lock screen and sat at the edge of the bed, picking up her phone.

[She calmed down.]

[And she seems a bit happy.]

Tang Ruoyao narrowed her eyes. This tone... didn't sound like how Guan Han usually spoke.

Could it be Qin Yinong herself?

Tang Ruoyao's heart skipped a beat at this speculation.

After considering for a moment, she replied, [I'll start filming "Under the Southern Mountain" in the second half of the month. After I come back, I'll have a week before joining the crew, so it might be inconvenient to meet once I'm on set.]

The implied meaning was that if they wanted to meet, the week after she returned and before she joined the crew would be the best time.

Qin Yinong's motherly heart instantly turned into the heart of a lover upon receiving the suggestion.

It had been over a month since they last met, which might not be a big deal under normal circumstances. Filming a movie usually took three to four months. However, during this time, Qin Yinong had been mostly at home, accompanying Ningning. The painting Ji Yunyao gave her last time had truly had an urging effect on her, and as a result, she had postponed her plans to go out and find directors or secure investments.

However, Ningning had to go to school during the day and work hard on her homework in the evening, so Qin Yinong couldn't spend much time with her. Often, Qin Yinong would find herself sitting there, and the iPad would magically end up in her hands, playing edited videos of Tang Ruoyao.

Qin Yinong snapped back to reality. "!!!"

After finishing blow-drying her hair and completing her skincare routine, Tang Ruoyao leaned against the headboard to read a book. Qin Yinong's message finally arrived, albeit late.

Qin Yinong: [We'll see when the time comes.]

Tang Ruoyao sat up straight suddenly. It must be Qin Yinong on the other end!

Qin Yinong tossed the phone back, and Guan Han caught it with both hands. She calmly read the exchange of messages between the two and silently put the phone back in her bag. She then used her tablet to check Qin Yinong's schedule for the next two weeks.

"We'll see when the time comes." meant they would definitely meet. Guan Han, the assistant, had already figured everything out.

She left Qin's residence, leaving behind the information about Mu Qingwu.

.....

Tang Ruoyao had been frequently trending recently. On the day of her graduation ceremony, Qin Yinong attended the event, and they ended up trending three times in a row. The hashtag #Qin Yinong #Tang Ruoyao stayed in the trending topics for the entire day.

An Ling was only responsible for removing negative news about Tang Ruoyao. They didn't usually bother with relatively objective news, and they didn't mind the free exposure. The video of Qin Yinong presenting the certificate and cutting the ribbon for Tang Ruoyao was reposted tens of thousands of times on the homepage.

Nowadays, the film industry was lacking new talent, and the reasons for this were well-known. Many outstanding actresses who had once shone brightly either married into wealthy families and focused on their families, or semi-retired abroad, not appearing in a film for many years. This left countless fans repeatedly reliving their past classic memories. Among the actresses born in the 1970s, there were still some who remained active, but among the younger generation of actresses born in the 1980s, there was not a single one who had made a mark in the film industry. The actresses born in the 1990s and 2000s were still too young, and their trophy cabinets were empty. Compared to the glorious and competitive era of the past, the Chinese film industry now seemed to have only Qin Yinong shining brightly.

In theory, Qin Yinong belonged to the 1980s generation, and she was even close to the 1990s generation. She was younger than the group of actresses born in the 1980s who were active on the screen. However, she debuted too early, and her appearance was not of the pure and innocent type. She had a naturally enchanting and mature aura, and her every move exuded sensuality. She was once mistakenly categorized among the actresses born in the 1970s. Only when people looked up her information did they realize with a start that she hadn't even reached thirty yet!

In addition, her achievements were too outstanding. With her talent alone, she stood out from the crowd, winning the Best Actress at the Venice Film Festival and sharing the throne with the previous acting legend. No one in the domestic film and television industry could match her, whether they were big-name actresses or rising stars.

Finally, the post-90s generation had made a name for themselves with the emergence of Tang Ruoyao. After the awards ceremony, the media press releases compared her to Qin Yinong. While this may have been fueled by the rivalry between competitors who tries to tarnish her image, it also represented the sentiments of many fans. They were eagerly hoping for talented actors and outstanding works to emerge. If Tang Ruoyao could truly follow in Qin Yinong's footsteps, it would be beyond their expectations. Some onlookers even speculated that Tang Ruoyao could become the next international film queen, venturing out of the country and making her mark on the world stage. This frightened some of Tang Ruoyao's fans, who came out in droves to protect her from such excessive expectations.

Therefore, when Qin and Tang appeared together for the first time, the excitement was incredibly high.

[Ah! Oh my goodness! The two Golden Laurel Award-winning actresses are finally together in one frame! Take a breath of immortality!]

[Nowadays, the most eye-catching figures in the film industry are these two, one representing the older generation and the other the new. It feels like a sense of passing the torch, and it's unexpectedly exhilarating.]

[Hey, someone above, quickly check Qin Yinong's age. I'm going crazy here! (Laughs and cries).]

[So Qin Yinong is only seven years older than Tang Ruoyao? Why do I feel like she's twenty-seven years older? (Stunned face).]

[You're not alone in feeling that way, imagining a twenty-seven-year age difference.]

[Why do I sense a perfect match here? Is anyone shipping this CP?["CP" refers to a "couple pairing" in fandom culture.]

[Are the devil's under this Weibo post shipping this CP? Now that you mention it, it suddenly feels exciting. Come on, let me become a member of the devil's clan!]

Of course, whenever celebrities appear together, fan conflicts are inevitable. They accuse each other of riding on the popularity, and there are classic fan quotes like, "Brother/Sister, we are the only ones for you" and "There are always malicious people trying to harm our idol." The fans of the two stars, Qin and Tang, have gotten into a fight once again.

[Is the most mediocre actress Tang Ruoyao trying to ride on the coattails of Qin's popularity? Useless and physically disabled, either physically or mentally. Can't she learn to walk on her own?]

[Is Qin Yinong trying to whitewash herself through our Tang Tang? Wake up, a chicken is still a chicken, even if it's touched by a divine aura. The day of being reborn and starting anew will never come. Your master's scandalous photos are still hanging around online.]

When Tang Ruoyao read these offensive comments on Weibo, she promptly blocked this fan who made derogatory remarks.

Qin Yinong was involved in a scandal with explicit photos being exposed early in her career, causing a big uproar both online and offline. It is said that she lost all her endorsement deals that were previously arranged, and even the female lead of a TV drama was temporarily replaced. She could only resume filming after the controversy subsided.

At that time, Tang Ruoyao was still young, just starting junior high school, so the exact details of the incident are not clear. However, she had a deep impression of the incident. One day, in an entertainment news segment after school, the host reported the latest news about Qin Yinong, where she was recognized and verbally attacked, and chased away by angry fans. In the footage captured by the camera, Qin Yinong was wearing a black hat, with the brim almost covering her entire face.

In the past two years, when she searched for Qin Yinong on the internet, the association with the scandalous photos was still present in the search suggestions, indicating the profound impact of that incident.

Most of those photos have been deleted, presumably managed by the PR team. They can't be found through regular search engines. Tang Ruoyao searched for a long time and finally found the only remaining photo in an old gossip thread. It showed a completely naked woman leaning against a man, with half of her face visible. At first glance, she looked very much like Qin Yinong, but even Tang Ruoyao, who spent a lot of time with Qin Yinong, couldn't be sure if it was her.

She stared at the photo all night and ultimately confirmed that it wasn't Qin Yinong. The woman in the picture had a mole on her lower back, and Tang Ruoyao had seen every part of Qin Yinong's body, which was clean and devoid of any moles.

The person in the photo was fake, but everyone believed it. After all, Qin Yinong couldn't strip naked and show the world that she didn't have that mole, thereby proving that the person in the photo wasn't her.

Tang Ruoyao had no way to explain because before this incident, there were also leaked intimate photos of Qin Yinong and a wealthy investor or director, where they were seen laughing and being affectionate in a private room. There were many photos, solid evidence that seamlessly connected to the scandalous photos, pushing the public outcry against Qin Yinong to its peak.

Veterans in the entertainment industry knew that if they wanted to expose and target someone, they had to mix real news and fake news together. The real news serves as a foundation for building momentum, and once the hype is successful, the fake news is released. By then, the real becomes real, and the fake becomes real too. The masses only love revelry and don't have the ability or desire to discern between truth and falsehood.

Having been in the entertainment circle for a long time, Tang Ruoyao herself can see through these tricks.

Even if Qin Yinong climbed up through unspoken rules, the scandalous photos are simply fake. What's fake cannot be made real. Not to mention using such offensive words to describe her loved one.

As for blocking fans, Tang Ruoyao doesn't care at all. She doesn't rely on fans to make a living. Besides, she would rather have none of these malicious fans. For every fan that comes, she blocks one, and her blacklist is already filled with them.

Qin Yinong's fans consider themselves noble and disdain getting into conflicts with others. They believe that even a more glance from them gives others a chance to bask in their popularity. So, the fans of Qin Yinong, like imperial concubines, after engaging in brief conflicts they would retreat to their own circle. Qin Yinong rarely makes public appearances, and it's a shame that her divine beauty is not appreciated.

The fans of both sides are not unaware that in the long years to come, they will be like the wind and the sand, entangled and intertwined until the ends of the earth, loving and fighting without rest.

With the graduation ceremony concluded, the official Weibo account of the movie "Under the Southern Mountain" announced the cast, instantly becoming a hot topic.

Zhou Tian Entertainment V:[#TangRuoyaoStarringinUndertheSouthernMountain# Huan Yu Film and Television, director Lin Guoan, producer Yin Huan, have announced the cast for the big production film "Under the Southern Mountain." Tang Ruoyao was the chosen one. Previously, there were rumors that Huo Yuke was the first choice for the female lead, which is a bit of a pity. Huo Yuke seems more suitable for the role. [Eating popcorn]]

"What the hell is suitable? Is the movie already out? Have you traveled to the future and watched it? Tsk, Huo Yuke has been trending recently, buying popularity to an excessive extent. It's quite interesting with all the praise and criticism. Spare the beautiful younger sister from the comparison with an old woman. [Smile]]

[Sugar Beans, don't give attention to marketing accounts intentionally provoking conflicts. Let our Tang Tang be beautiful on her own.]

[Best Actress at the Golden Laurel Awards, Best Newcomer at the Golden Plum Awards. No need for comparisons. Please, someone who only received the Best Newcomer (and that was three years ago), don't come and try to belittle others. [Hehe]]

[The praise from Tang's fans is clearly orchestrated. You must have spent a lot of money to buy popularity, right? Don't you know the popularity of your own camp? Always bashing Qin Huang, it's unsightly.]

.....

"Tang... Ruoyao!" Huo Yuke grabbed the cup in her hand and angrily threw it to the ground. It made a loud bang and shattered into pieces. Then, she waved her hand, knocking over the tissues and ashtray on the coffee table, all falling to the floor. Her face turned pale with anger.

Her assistant cowered beside her, wanting to clean up, but also fearing to provoke Huo Yuke's wrath. She didn't want to bear the brunt of her anger. So she stood still, not daring to move.

"Are you dead person? Get over here and clean up the broken glass!" Huo Yuke had vented her anger and almost finished throwing things around, and now her gaze fell upon her assistant, who was shrinking into the corner.

The assistant stepped forward and skillfully cleaned up the mess on the floor.

Huo Yuke had thought that she had secured the role of the female lead role in "Under the Southern Mountain". Coupled with her rivalry with Tang Ruoyao, she had intended to snatch it away and boast about it, finally gaining the upper hand over Tang Ruoyao. Almost everyone around her knew about it. But now she was being told that the role was taken away from her? Even if someone else had beaten her to it, she wouldn't be this angry. But it had to be Tang Ruoyao!

Why was Tang Ruoyao always against her!

Huo Yuke almost gnashed her teeth in frustration.

That night, an overweight man had finished his exertions, he lay panting on the bed, leaning against the headboard. He retrieved a cigarette from the bedside table and put it in his mouth. Huo Yuke endured the pain and sat up straight—his actions were never gentle, always pinching and hitting her, often leaving her with bruises all over her body. She had taken an extra pill today, making it even more unbearable.

Seeing Huo Yuke approaching, Liu Yayu naturally handed her the lighter in his hand. Huo Yuke took it, gave him a seductive smile, and lit the cigarette for him. Her fair and tender hand wiped the sweat off his forehead.

Liu Yayu enjoyed taking a drag from the cigarette, his gaze fixed on her. He exhaled the white smoke slowly onto Huo Yuke's youthful and beautiful face.

Huo Yuke didn't show any discomfort. Instead, she approached the smoke and emerged from it, kissing the corner of Liu Yayu's lips, and said in a tender voice, "Director Liu~"

Liu Yayu was pleased by her actions and burst into laughter.

Among his numerous lovers, she was the one who pleased him the most.

So when Huo Yuke leaned against him, her fingers drawing teasing circles on his chest, and asked why Tang Ruoyao had snatched the role in "Under the Southern Mountain," Liu Yayu firmly held her soft hand in his large palm and kissed it, patiently answering, "It's just a minor role. I'll give you a better one next time."

A hint of dissatisfaction flashed in Huo Yuke's eyes. She softened her voice and persistently asked, "Can't we snatch it back?"

Liu Yayu tried to placate her, saying, "The casting has already been announced. It wouldn't look good to change again. I'm an investor, and I also want to make money."

Huo Yuke insisted on getting a clear answer. She used all her seductive techniques, arousing Liu Yayu's desire. He was about to take the pills and proceed, but Huo Yuke held him back, and only then did Liu Yayu speak the truth, his breath heavy, his hand pressing down on hers through the blanket, "I'm not quite sure about her background now. It's not wise to mess with her."

"Isn't it just a wealthy backer? You said you weren't afraid of them last time." Huo Yuke pouted, half coquettish and half annoyed, and moved her hand under the covers.

Liu Yayu took as sharp breath, pressing down her hand through the blanket, "It's not that simple. She may have connections with... someone influential. It's not wise to provoke them."

"What kind of influential figure?" Huo Yuke pressed further, determined to get to the bottom of it.

Sensing the cold gaze Liu Yayu directed at her, Huo Yuke abruptly fell silent.

Liu Yayu had a clear distinction between his lovers. He could dote on you and provide resources, but when it came to matters within the industry, he would remain tight-lipped. Despite all her probing and insinuations, Huo Yuke hadn't been able to extract the identity of Tang Ruoyao's mysterious backer.

"Let's just let this matter go. Don't ask any further." Liu Yayu impatiently stood up, took a pill for himself, and retrieved something from the bottom drawer.

"Let's try something new today." Liu Yayu turned around slowly, a smile gradually appearing on his face.

Upon seeing the object in his hand, a hint of fear finally flickered in the depths of Huo Yuke's eyes. But her rationality kept her rooted in place, refusing to retreat.

Liu Yayu pounced on her with a wicked grin.

After it was all over, Liu Yayu fell into a deep sleep. Huo Yuke lay on the bed, her poisoned gaze fixed on the ceiling. The more her body ached, the more she thought about Tang Ruoyao. Just the mere thought that Tang Ruoyao might be subjected to the same ordeal by her own backer alleviated some of her pain. Her clenched teeth gradually relaxed.

Most backers are perverted and don't treat their lovers as human beings. Huo Yuke had interacted with others similar to herself, and among the backers, Liu Yayu was considered relatively normal. He only occasionally resorted to extreme measures and never left any marks that would be exposed on clothing. He was also generous and hard to come by.

Tang Ruoyao portrayed herself as someone noble, but in the end, she became someone else's plaything just like Huo Yuke. Her face, resembling that of a noble, would make any man desire to conquer her, to make her surrender at his feet, revealing her scandalous side.

She must be suffering even more than herself. Huo Yuke silently laughed, her teeth gleaming with a chilling white light in the darkness of the night.

.....

The next day, Tang Ruoyao woke up early to catch a flight.

After opening her eyes, she scrolled through her phone. The conversation with Qin Yinong was real, and if nothing unexpected happened, she would be able to see Qin Yinong the next time she came back. Just the thought of it made her eagerly anticipate the day she would return, even though she hadn't even returned home yet.

Tang Ruoyao smiled and dismissed the thought, then opened the message box from Mu Qingwu. She had sent her a message.

Mu Qingwu: [Are you flying to City Z today? Don't miss your flight. Remember to have breakfast.]

Tang Ruoyao felt a warmth in her heart and replied, [Thank you, Sister Mu, for the reminder.]

She typed again, [Why are you up so early?]

Mu Qingwu: [I always wake up early to accompany artists for makeup.]

Tang Ruoyao didn't disturb her further and replied, [Thank you for your hard work. You must be busy.]"

She went to the kitchen and prepared a Western-style breakfast with a glass of milk. When she was almost done tidying up, her assistant informed her that the car was downstairs.

Tang Ruoyao stood in front of the full-length mirror in the cloakroom, wearing a white T-shirt, casual trousers, and canvas shoes. As a young woman in her prime, she had a slender waist, long limbs, and fair and radiant cheeks. Even in the simplest attire, she couldn't hide her eye-catching star quality.

Tang Ruoyao put on a baseball cap, wore a mask, slightly arched her straight back, and took a few steps before feeling satisfied.

She grabbed her suitcase and took the elevator downstairs.

Her assistant, Xin Qian, put the small suitcase in the trunk for her and exclaimed, "It's so light!"

Tang Ruoyao, who was bending down to get into the car, replied, "I only brought a few changes of clothes."

Xin Qian sighed and got into the car with Tang Ruoyao after placing the suitcase in the trunk.

"Are you sure you don't want me to accompany you?" Xin Qian worriedly said, "You'll be alone at home, who will take care of you?"

Tang Ruoyao, in a decent mood, jokingly laughed, "You're making it sound like you take care of me all the time."

Xin Qian: "..."

As an assistant, she felt particularly lacking in a sense of accomplishment. Assistants from other people's families were capable in every aspect, taking care of clothing, food, housing, and transportation, arranging everything perfectly. But she, on the other hand, was like a bystander next to Tang Ruoyao. She had never even been to Tang Ruoyao's home.

Xin Qian racked her brains and finally remembered a few things she could do. She said, "I can help you call for a car, handle the luggage, fetch things for you, and lend a hand when you have too many gifts from fans."

Tang Ruoyao looked at Xin Qian.

Xin Qian also looked at her.

Xin Qian deflated and said, "Well, you haven't given me the chance to do that."

Tang Ruoyao raised her hand and gently patted Xin Qian's head. "You'll be busy in the future."

Xin Qian suddenly looked up. "Huh?"

Tang Ruoyao smiled. "When I come back, you'll have plenty to do."

She was no longer a student now and had changed her manager. Her busy and hectic life was just beginning, and she had been waiting for this day for a long time.

At 10 o'clock in the morning, the airplane flew across the sky on schedule, landing on the runway of the airport in City Z.

City Z was a rapidly developing city in the southern part of the country. Looking down from the clouds, it appeared to be a city of steel and concrete, not much different from the capital. Due to the large number of people and the fear of being recognized, Tang Ruoyao took the VIP channel and discreetly called for a car.

"To the Renmin Hospital." Tang Ruoyao said after closing the car door.

  1. While I don't like HY in the first place, I still hate it much more, what she and others need to do in this fucked up industry to make a living.
On one hand it is good to show the dark side of this special kind of arrangements (TR could have gotten the same without QY) on the other hand, I could have lived better without it in a gl novel. Good think is that is still chinese and so it couldn't get into to much detail because of the well known censorships.
