The feeling of a hangover is not pleasant.

When Ye Chengxing woke up, she felt a splitting headache. It was clearly the side effect of alcohol. At the time she was drinking, she didn't feel much, but now she realized the aftermath was quite strong.

"Sister, have some water." Li Jia handed her a glass of water that had been poured, her voice low and somewhat hoarse.

She drank some lukewarm water, freshened up a bit, and now she felt much better than when she first woke up.

The bedroom curtains were still closed, and Ye Chengxing struggled to locate Li Jia's position. She spoke up, "It's so dark. Let me open the curtains."

Li Jia didn't respond, remaining silent throughout. Apart from the slight sound when pouring water and a few words spoken, she had been quiet the whole time. In fact, Ye Chengxing hadn't even noticed she was in the room at first.

Without waiting for Li Jia's reply, Ye Chengxing hesitated for two seconds and then decided to go over and open the curtains. Otherwise, everything would appear blurry. As she approached, she reminded, "I'm going to open the curtains. Xiaoli, be careful and shield your eyes."

The curtains opened, and bright sunlight instantly flooded the room.
