CHAPTER 235: Qin & Tang Extra 09
The last time, it was Tang Ruoyao who took the initiative to throw herself into Qin Yinong's arms. Strictly speaking, Qin Yinong didn't actually embrace her, her hands remained proper and disciplined. But today was different. Tang Ruoyao's waist was encircled by the soft and strong arms of the woman, and she was surrounded by the unfamiliar body temperature and scent, permeating every cell of her being, making it impossible to escape.
Her elegant and affectionate eyes and brows were even more impeccable up close, a kind of ultimate beauty that made people forget to breathe.
Tang Ruoyao stared blankly at her, her gaze fixated on the woman's exquisitely beautiful face like moonlight, completely unaware of the dangerous situation she was in. Or perhaps subconsciously, she silently consented to what would happen next.
Qin Yinong: "..."
Originally, she just wanted to scare the other person, but now that she hadn't succeeded in scaring her, letting go wasn't an option either.
She measured the girl's slender waist with her palm, and the soft sensation of holding the girl fascinated her.
...She might as well not let go.
Qin Yinong silently held her, letting her sit in her lap, neither rushing nor releasing her even a bit.
Tang Ruoyao gradually snapped out of her daze, becoming aware of the situation. The initial fear dissipated to some extent, and she secretly lifted her eyelids, wanting to see Qin Yinong's expression at that moment.
As soon as she raised her gaze, she met the woman's narrowed eyes, as if it had been expected.
Tang Ruoyao's heart pounded, and she blushed, lowering her head.
She turned to the side, and a hint of blush was especially prominent on her snowy white earlobes.
Qin Yinong's breath deepened. She vaguely sensed that something uncontrollable was about to happen.
"You..." Qin Yinong's throat felt dry, breaking the silence in the room.
Tang Ruoyao raised her head again, the shyness in her eyes not completely gone, gazing at her intently.
"You... haven't taken a bath, have you?" Qin Yinong added the latter part of the sentence.
Tang Ruoyao: "..."
The barely detectable embarrassment immediately turned into awkwardness. Tang Ruoyao got off Qin Yinong's lap and stood properly, saying, "I'll go take a bath now."
Could it be that Qin Yinong had cleanliness OCD? Tang Ruoyao silently wondered: 'Last time, she said I didn't wash my hands when I licked her fingers. This time, she complained about me not taking a bath while sitting on her lap. Before, after taking a bath, sitting on her legs didn't seem to bother her.'
Qin Yinong watched the girl's figure and let out a gentle sigh.
She leaned back and sank into the sofa, closing her eyes.
This is troublesome.
After her bath, Tang Ruoyao lay down and waited for Qin Yinong to come and spoil her, but as expected, she fell asleep.
Unlike before, this time, just before falling asleep, she had a slight desire to see how she ended up like this while she was still awake. Two women... she thought drowsily, how did it happen?
In her sleep, Tang Ruoyao furrowed her brows, turned over, and with her lips slightly pouted, she directly bit down on the mischievous finger in her mouth.
Qin Yinong winced in pain, yet also seemed to take a certain pleasure in it, biting her own lip to keep silent.
Tang Ruoyao sucked a few times, murmured in her sleep, and let go.
Qin Yinong sat on the edge of the bed, adjusting her slightly disheveled breath. She grabbed a tissue, slowly wiped the saliva-dampened knuckle of her index finger, and threw it into the trash can.
...
The next morning.
Having learned from the past experience, Tang Ruoyao woke up and checked the floor for any earrings dropped by the woman. There were none. However, there was a crumpled tissue in the open trash can next to the bed.
Tang Ruoyao was certain it wasn't there before she went to sleep. She stared at the tissue for a while, unable to figure it out, so she decided to set aside the question and headed to the bathroom in her slippers.
As toothpaste foamed, Tang Ruoyao brushed her teeth back and forth, looking at herself in the mirror above the sink. Suddenly, her eyes widened.
She knew!
During her freshman year, they went on a trip together. Once, while walking on a remote road in a small county surrounded by mountains and forests, they encountered a pile of used tissues scattered all over the ground.
Wen Shuxian's face twisted for a moment, she turned her head, pinched her nose, and said, "No manners at all."
Tang Ruoyao thought to herself: 'Littering around, isn't that a lack of manners?'
Wen Shuxian turned to Cui Jiaran and said, "You shouldn't do that in the future. At least find a trash can to throw it away, or keep it in the car and dispose of it at home."
Cui Jiaran blushed deeply, not sure if it was from anger or something else, and playfully started wrestling with Wen Shuxian.
Tang Ruoyao looked at the two of them, feeling bewildered.
Fu Yujun coughed softly beside her ear and quietly explained, "Someone parked their car here and did that."
'That? Did what?'
Looking at the blushing face of Cui Jiaran, Tang Ruoyao suddenly understood after walking a short distance.
'That.'
So, using tissues was necessary after doing that. Now there were used tissues in her room's trash can, it was a clear evidence supporting Tang Ruoyao's suspicion that Qin Yicheng had done the deed.
Tang Ruoyao sighed at herself in the mirror.
How come she didn't feel anything about it?
"Good morning." She suppressed her barely noticeable disappointment and greeted the woman sitting on the sofa.
"Good morning." Qin Yinong held a cup of milk, drank it all at once, leaving a milky white mark on her lips. She took a tissue from the table, raised her hand in a leisurely manner to wipe it clean, and threw the tissue into the trash can.
A scene flashed through Tang Ruoyao's mind once again.
After Qin Yinong did this and that to her, her lips also carried the same glistening moisture, being wiped away like this...
The kitchen sliding door hit the doorframe with a thud, startling Qin Yinong. She turned her head to look, and there was Tang Ruoyao standing motionless with her back turned in the kitchen.
Qin Yinong: "???"
.......
"Tang Tang." While the teacher was busy looking down at the lecture notes, Fu Yujun nudged Tang Ruoyao's arm with her elbow.
Tang Ruoyao's absent-minded gaze refocused as she turned her head to look at Fu Yujun's notes and compared them to her own. She noticed that she was missing two lines, so she copied them into her own notebook.
She went through the next two classes somewhat distracted. When the bell rang, the morning classes were over.
Wen Shuxian closed her textbook and put it into her bag. "Which cafeteria are we going to for lunch?"
Cui Jiaran replied, "The second Cafeteria."
Fu Yujun said, "Same here."
Wen Shuxian asked, "What about Tang Tang?"
Tang Ruoyao turned her head and asked, "Hmm? What did you just say?"
Wen Shuxian: "..."
In the end, they all went to the second cafeteria together.
The four of them managed to grab a table, leaving their water cups to save their spots. They went to different food counters to get their meals. Tang Ruoyao returned first, carrying four bowls of complimentary soup. Today's soup was winter melon and pork rib soup, but there were no ribs and no winter melon.
Wen Shuxian took a few big sips of water and said, "Thanks."
She then rolled up her sleeves and began to eat heartily.
Tang Ruoyao used her chopsticks to poke at the rice in her bowl and ate slowly.
She glanced at Wen Shuxian, then glanced again.
[Xiao Wen]
In the afternoon, Wen Shuxian was comfortably lying on the bed, planning to take a nap, when she received a WeChat private message from Tang Ruoyao. Even though they were in the same dorm, Tang Ruoyao chose to send a private message instead of speaking up. Wen Shuxian cleverly typed back: [I'm here]
The curtain blocked Tang Ruoyao's blushing face as she bit her lip and typed on the keyboard: [Do you have any adult movies?]
Wen Shuxian fell into deep thought.
In Wen Shuxian's understanding, "adult movies" referred to the kind she often watched. But for Tang Ruoyao, who was upright and never engaged in dirty topics, did she have a different interpretation?
To protect Tang Ruoyao's innocent mind from corruption, Wen Shuxian cautiously confirmed: [What genre of movies are you talking about?]
Tang Ruoyao: [The ones that celebrate the harmony of life]
There was a dull thud, as if something heavy had collided with a metal railing.
Three curtains were lifted simultaneously.
Wen Shuxian held her head where she accidentally bumped it and grinned, "Ouch, I'm fine, just a little accident."
She met Tang Ruoyao's gaze, and Tang Ruoyao shyly looked away.
A new message appeared on Wen Shuxian's phone: [Don't tell them.]
Wen Shuxian replied: [Don't worry, I won't say anything. Actually, Cui Jiaran also asked me for adult movie resources before, hehehe. She also asked me not to tell you guys.]
Tang Ruoyao asked, [So, what are you telling me now?]
[System notification: Wen Shuxian has retracted a message]
Tang Ruoyao curved her lips.
'Forget it. We're all adults, so what's the big deal about watching a movie? When you're close to the water, why ask Wen Shuxian instead of someone else?'
Tang Ruoyao typed with a stroke of inspiration, [Has Lao Fu never asked you for it before?]
Wen Shuxian replied, [No, but I always feel like she knows more than me [scratches head].
Tang Ruoyao responded, [The real person doesn't show their face.]
[The line "The real person doesn't show their face" seems to be a colloquial or idiomatic expression implying that someone is not being completely open or transparent about their true thoughts/feelings/situation.]
In reality, she felt the same way. Fu Yujun wasn't as outspoken as Wen Shuxian, who always talked about watching movies, but Tang Ruoyao could understand every reference Wen Shuxian made.
Wen Shuxian asked, [What type do you want? male-female or gay?]
Tang Ruoyao almost made a mistake and typed "girl-girl," but she corrected herself, saying, [Male-female is fine. Is there a dedicated website for that kind of thing? Give me a link.]
Wen Shuxian shared a few movies through file sharing and also provided a link to a foreign website.
[The others are on my hard drive at home. I'll copy them for you next time I go back.] Wen Shuxian generously offered.
[Much appreciated [bows]] Tang Ruoyao replied.
[It's better if you download them first, they tend to get cens*red.] Wen Shuxian advised.
[OK.]
Tang Ruoyao held her phone, which contained the first-ever movies she was about to watch, her heart pounding like a drum. She had been hiding these movies for a week, hesitant to open and watch them.
In the blink of an eye, it was Friday again. Tang Ruoyao had her elective class at 8:30 pm, returned to the dormitory, put down her backpack, and slipped the city card from the table into her pocket. She said to her roommates, "I won't be back tonight."
Wen Shuxian quickly responded, "Going to your friend's house again?"
Tang Ruoyao nodded, "Yes."
Wen Shuxian squinted, "Are you really not dating anyone?"
Tang Ruoyao reaffirmed her previous declaration. If she hid the fact that she had a boyfriend, she would end up lonely forever.
Wen Shuxian wrinkled her nose.
Tang Ruoyao left.
Cui Jiaran turned around, spinning her pen, and said, "Do you think she might be dating a girlfriend?"
Wen Shuxian's eyes lit up as she said, "It's possible."
Both of them glanced at Fu Yujun simultaneously. Fu Yujun was the most reliable person in their dormitory. Fu Yujun lifted her cup and took a sip of water, saying, "If she really is dating a girlfriend, it's not a big deal, right?"
She lowered her head to drink water, but her eyes flickered as she secretly observed her two roommates.
Wen Shuxian said, "Well, it's not a big deal, but it just feels strange. Does she seem like someone who likes women?"
Cui Jiaran said, "I don't think so, homosexuality is still a minority, it's too much of a coincidence for it to be one of us."
Fu Yujun drank her water in silence.
Wen Shuxian added, "She should bring her over for us to see, which beautiful flower has captured our campus belle's heart, Hahaha."
Cui Jiaran also laughed.
A smile played at the corner of Fu Yujun's lips.
.......
Tang Ruoyao stood at the entrance, her fingers pressing on the keypad lock, silently praying in her heart as she did in the past: "Please don't be there."
Just as she finished reciting these three words, another hopeful thought suddenly crossed her mind.
She was there.
Tang Ruoyao stopped praying, her fingers deftly unlocking the code and pulling open the door.
It was pitch black inside.
She had returned at 10 p.m., and based on Qin Yinong's usual routine, she wouldn't come over at this hour. Tang Ruoyao let out a sigh of relief, but instead of feeling relieved, she felt an oppressive weight on her heart, even more melancholic than before.
She bit her lip and sent a message to Guan Han: [Is Qin Yinong coming tonight?]
Guan Han raised an eyebrow slightly: So have they confessed their love yet? Why is she still asking about Qin's whereabouts? Is this what they call a kinky game?
Guan Han replied: [She went home.]
Tang Ruoyao: [Thank you.]
Guan Han: [You're welcome, Miss Tang.]
The next day was the weekend, and there was no need to wake up early. After her shower, Tang Ruoyao went to the study, where she turned on her computer, logged into her cloud storage, and found several movies displayed there.
In the quiet study, where only her own breathing could be heard, Tang Ruoyao put on her headphones, took a deep breath, and clicked on one of the movies.
She started by keeping her eyes open, then closed them, and finally covered her eyes with her fingers, peeking through the gaps. Eventually, she removed her hand completely.
Exaggerated sounds echoed in her headphones as Tang Ruoyao clung tightly to her chair, her fingers gripping the armrests. Her heart rose and fell, and suddenly she lifted one hand and bit down on the back of it.
So this is... this is how it's supposed to be...
The impact of the visuals was far more direct and straightforward than words could convey.
The incredibly long twenty minutes finally came to an end.
The glass of water Tang Ruoyao had prepared beforehand was empty. She rested in her chair for a while, allowing her limbs and brain to recover, before getting up to go to the kitchen and pour some water. After taking two steps, her mind recalled the images from earlier, and she abruptly stopped.
She finally understood how tissues were supposed to be used! Not just for wiping one's mouth, no, it could also be used for that purpose.
So, did Qin Yinong also personally used them on herself?
Tang Ruoyao blushed with embarrassment, unable to continue her thoughts.
She shut down her computer, logged out of her cloud storage account before turning it off, uninstalled the client, and wiped away all traces, leaving no evidence behind. Quietly, she returned to her bedroom.
The next afternoon, she came to the study again to "study." As a top student, she knew how to apply knowledge in different areas and connect different concepts. Tang Ruoyao fast-forwarded through the remaining movies, spending less than half an hour in total.
She logged into the foreign website provided by Wen Shuxian. Everything was well-organized and categorized. Tang Ruoyao went directly to the section she needed—two women.
Tang Ruoyao crossed her ten fingers, resting them under her chin. Suddenly, an alarm went off in her mind, urging her to stop immediately. It was a powerful intuition. Without hesitation, Tang Ruoyao closed the video.
Just as she did, she heard the sound of a door closing outside. In a hurry, Tang Ruoyao rapidly clicked her mouse, closing the web page and clearing her browsing history. She swiftly pressed the power button, shutting down her computer.
The lock on the study door slowly turned, but it didn't fully rotate.
A soft "hmm" came from the entrance, and Tang Ruoyao quickly composed herself, hastening to open the study door.
Qin Yinong saw her and exclaimed in surprise, "You're here."
Tang Ruoyao replied, "It's the weekend."
Qin Yinong smiled and said, "I know, I thought you'd be studying at school."
Tang Ruoyao felt a twinge of guilt for accepting so much money from Qin Yinong and not showing up for a week. She responded conscientiously, "Studying here is the same. It's quieter than school. I'll come over on weekends."
A complex emotion appeared in Qin Yinong's eyes.
Oh well, if she wanted to play the obedient canary, let her.
Qin Yinong glanced into the study and asked, "What are you doing?"
"...Studying." Tang Ruoyao replied, averting her gaze, feeling guilty.
Luckily, Qin Yinong didn't look at her and continued, "Did you bring the entrance exam videos and performance clips I asked you to find?"
Tang Ruoyao looked up in excitement and said, "I brought them!"
Qin Yinong placed a hand on her back and said, "Let me take a look." She took a few steps forward and added, "I'll borrow the study for a bit. I hope you don't mind."
"Of course not." Tang Ruoyao thought, 'They were yours to begin with.'
She went back to her room to get the USB drive and glanced back. Qin Yinong was sitting in the chair, casually picking up the book she had left open on the desk, flipping through a few pages before putting it down. Her gaze wandered around the desk.
Even though Tang Ruoyao was certain she hadn't left any traces, Qin Yinong's actions still frightened her.
Tang Ruoyao hurriedly fetched the USB drive at the fastest speed possible, practically running back. Qin Yinong looked at her with a teasing smile and said, "Why are you in such a rush? I'm not going anywhere."
Tang Ruoyao simply smiled and didn't explain.
Qin Yinong skillfully turned on the computer and inserted the USB drive.
Tang Ruoyao held her breath.
Did she accidentally download something messy onto the computer? She tried to recall.
Qin Yinong said, "Hmm?"
Tang Ruoyao's heart skipped a beat, nervously turning her gaze to the screen.
Qin Yinong asked, "Which folder is it?"
Tang Ruoyao breathed a sigh of relief and pointed with her finger, saying, "This one."
Qin Yinong glanced at her, smiling ambiguously, and said, "Why are you sweating so much?"
Tang Ruoyao fanned herself with her hand and replied, "It's too hot."
Qin Yinong's eyes seemed capable of seeing through everything, but Tang Ruoyao managed to hold back from confessing. Qin Yinong withdrew her gaze and said gently, "Go outside and play. I'll watch it myself for a while."
Tang Ruoyao felt as if she had been granted a reprieve, sweating profusely as she left the room.
Qin Yinong tapped on the wooden desk, lost in thought for a moment, then clicked on Tang Ruoyao's entrance exam video.
.......
Tang Ruoyao was restless outside, frequently looking up at the tightly closed study door.
Qin Yinong had been inside the room the whole time. It was almost dinner time when Tang Ruoyao knocked on the study door, and a soft female voice came from inside, saying, "Come in."
Tang Ruoyao stood at the door, lightly scratching the wall outside with one hand, and asked, "I'm going to cook dinner. Do you want to eat?"
Qin Yinong looked up, her gaze gentle, and replied, "Thank you."
Tang Ruoyao widened her eyes slowly.
Not refusing meant she wanted it. Joy surged in Tang Ruoyao's heart, but she didn't realize how it came about.
Tang Ruoyao asked, "Do you have any dietary restrictions?"
Qin Yinong answered, "No vinegar."
Tang Ruoyao thought to herself, 'That's perfect; I don't like vinegar either.'
She went to prepare dinner. Qin Yinong watched the girl's figure, the corners of her lips slightly curling upwards.
Her stepmother, Jiang Xuezhen, was lazy in the kitchen, while Tang Ruoyao had honed her cooking skills at home. Although she couldn't compare to a professional chef, she was quite skilled at making several home-cooked dishes. If she cooked for herself, she would probably just have a bowl of noodles with vegetables and eggs. But since Qin Yinong wanted to eat, she took out the spare ribs from the refrigerator, along with various other ingredients and seasonings.
She wanted to showcase her cooking skills and make Qin Yinong, who had refined tastes, enjoy the meal—hopefully. Well, Qin Yinong didn't seem like someone who would cook.
She busied herself in the kitchen, the humming of the range hood, the rhythmic sound of the knife chopping on the cutting board, and the sizzling sound of ingredients hitting the hot oil, all intertwining into the most ordinary and blissful melody.
A figure stood quietly at the door, watching for a while before quietly leaving.
Over an hour later.
Tang Ruoyao came out to call Qin Yinong for dinner. Qin Yinong looked at the cartoon Mickey Mouse on her apron, sniffed the air, and applauded, "It smells so good."
No one dislikes compliments.
Tang Ruoyao's heart blossomed, and she restrained herself, pursing her lips and concealing her smile.
She cleared her throat and said, "Come and eat quickly, the food will get cold soon." She looked at the hand hanging by Qin Yinong's side and felt the impulse to hold it, just like in the past.
Their relationship should allow for holding hands, right? What if she thought her hands were unclean because she hadn't washed them? She was wearing long sleeves, so holding her wrist should be enough, right?
Two little people were fighting in her mind, but Qin Yinong had already walked past her and left.
Tang Ruoyao: "..."
She silently followed, unaware of the woman's smile spreading from the depths of her eyes.
The two stood side by side in the kitchen. Tang Ruoyao opened the rice cooker, picked up an empty bowl, and asked, "How much do you want?"
Qin Yinong lightly lowered her eyes and said in a soft tone, "I don't eat rice at night."
Tang Ruoyao: "..."
'If you don't eat rice, why didn't you say it earlier? Why did you stick around in the kitchen with me?'
She rolled her eyes discreetly, but Qin Yinong caught her in the act. Qin Yinong covered her mouth and coughed to suppress her laughter.
The woman said, "Give me an empty bowl, please."
Tang Ruoyao stared at her open palm, delicate and fair, truly the appearance of a pampered young lady. Tang Ruoyao didn't actually know much about Qin Yinong's family background, but based on Qin Yinong's current status, she involuntarily imagined her as a spoiled rich girl.
Tang Ruoyao gently placed the bowl in her hand and handed her a pair of chopsticks.
Qin Yinong curved her lips and said, "Thank you."
Without realizing it, Tang Ruoyao beamed a smile at the woman, revealing her snow-white teeth that looked like pearls, exceptionally bright and dazzling.
Qin Yinong momentarily lost focus, tightened her grip on the chopsticks in her hand as she turned sideways and left.
Garlic spare ribs, Kung Pao chicken, steamed minced meat with egg, stir-fried eggplant, and in the center, an egg drop soup.
Qin Yinong first filled a small bowl with soup and quietly sipped it with a spoon. She raised her head, looked at Tang Ruoyao with expectant eyes, and nodded, "It's delicious."
Qin Yinong was the most articulate person Tang Ruoyao had ever met. Her praise was incredibly sincere, completely genuine from the bottom of her heart, with no hint of perfunctoriness. Perhaps her acting skills were just too good, Tang Ruoyao thought to herself, as she began eating after Qin Yinong had tasted each dish.
She still hadn't realized that her anticipation wasn't driven by the need to please a benefactor but by something else.
Qin Yinong only took a few bites of each dish before putting down her chopsticks, but she drank two small bowls of soup.
"I'm an artist, so I have to watch my figure." To prevent Tang Ruoyao from misunderstanding, the woman explained in a gentle tone while tidying up the table.
"I understand." Tang Ruoyao glanced at the woman's slender waist, which she had inadvertently touched, and then lowered her head to look at her own waist. Qin Yinong approached, unexpectedly reached out and encircled her waist, tightened and then loosened her grip, and whispered with a smile in her ear, "It's slim enough, no need to lose weight."
Tang Ruoyao's face flushed, and every place where she had been touched felt uncomfortable, accompanied by a strange tingling sensation that spread throughout her body.
'Heavens above!'
'She was now starting to make moves even when she was sober!'
Qin Yinong retracted her hand, savoring the sensation from earlier, and her lips silently curved upwards.
Tang Ruoyao hid in the kitchen, afraid to come out.
Sofa, study, carpet, bathroom... were all those classic clichés going to be arranged?
Yet she couldn't not come out, because there was still a very classic cliché waiting in the kitchen.
Tang Ruoyao reluctantly walked out, feeling like she was heading towards her own demise.
Qin Yinong pointed to the only single sofa with her chin and said, "Sit."
'Sit?'
Tang Ruoyao's gaze fell on the sofa, and she thought, 'Isn't the space too small?'
Qin Yinong handed her a few sheets of A4 paper. The paper was brand new, exuding the scent of freshly printed ink. Tang Ruoyao's vision went black: Could it be that she wants us to role-play? That's too difficult, she really doesn't know how to do it.
Qin Yinong said, "Take a look first."
Tang Ruoyao braced herself and focused her attention on the black words on the white paper. Her expression gradually changed as she became serious.
After she finished reading, Qin Yinong said, "Can you perform it for me in ten minutes?"
Tang Ruoyao felt too ashamed to lift her head and replied, "Okay." This was not some kind of romantic foreplay, but rather a selected scene from a script.
Qin Yinong gave her an impromptu test to assess her acting skills.
As for what the young girl was thinking, Qin Yinong had a good idea but chose not to expose her.
Ten minutes later, Qin Yinong clapped her hands together, playing the role of the assistant director.
The sound of the clap marked the beginning of the characters' world. This was what their teacher had told them. Tang Ruoyao's expression immediately changed, and under the living room lights, she immersed herself in the performance.
A few minutes later, Tang Ruoyao detached herself from the emotions, took a few deep breaths, and bowed to Qin Yinong nervously, saying, "Please give me your feedback, Teacher."
Qin Yinong remained silent, her gaze serene.
Tang Ruoyao's heart sank to the bottom, feeling almost lost. "...Was it that bad?"
Qin Yinong said, "No." She smiled and said, "You did great."
While her acting might be a bit green, her talent for performing was undeniable. She was a born actress, destined for this path.
In the disbelieving eyes of Tang Ruoyao, Qin Yinong repeated earnestly, "You did great."
Perhaps she could entrust her with something more.
Qin Yinong pointed out a couple of minor flaws and then let her go take a shower. She herself lay on the bed, closing her eyes slightly, focused on contemplating something.
Tang Ruoyao, guided by Qin Yinong's advice and especially her generous praise, was too excited to fall asleep. She turned on a desk lamp and watched Qin Yinong's movies on her phone.
Unaware of the time passing, it was only when footsteps sounded outside the room that she quickly hid the phone under her pillow and shut her eyes tightly, pretending to sleep.
Qin Yinong, familiar with the route, came in and saw through Tang Ruoyao's pretense.
This time, she had no intention of teasing her. After gently touching her eyebrows, she planned to leave. However, unexpectedly, Tang Ruoyao suddenly opened her eyes, her cheeks flushed, and she bit her lip, gathering her courage to ask, "Are you here to sleep with me?"
