CHAPTER 22

The moonlight and street lamps were blocked, making this space appear dark and cramped. Shu Yanyan couldn't help but breathe heavily, trying to get more oxygen for her brain to think. Unfortunately, Chu Yu, who was covering her, didn't give her that chance. She leaned in closer, refusing to leave her even a moment to catch her breath.

As a result, Shu Yanyan inhaled nothing but Chu Yu's scent into her body. This situation was terrible, and when she realized something was wrong, her neck glands had already started to heat up slightly.

Three years of separation had made her body crave the presence of this tormentor more than her own consciousness.

Shu Yanyan quickly held her breath, enduring it until she couldn't bear it any longer. She slightly opened her mouth, using it to breathe. It was uncomfortable, and in no time, a redness appeared at the corners of her eyes, as if she had suffered some great grievance.

Chu Yu, who was pressing her down, sighed.

She held Shu Yanyan's chin, keeping her in a raised position. "I haven't even b*llied you yet, why do you look like this?"

Shu Yanyan glared at her with teary eyes.

Although she tried to furrow her brows, trying to make Chu Yu understand her current dissatisfaction and anger, the moisture in her eyes betrayed her, making her appear even more pitiful.

Chu Yu felt a twist in her heart.

She realized that besides feeling sorry for the other person, she also enjoyed these moments.

She enjoyed the satisfaction of making the other person cry.

Of course, she couldn't show this sadistic side, at least not before firmly binding the person to her side.

She thought for a moment and started to settle the score with Shu Yanyan.

"You can hug and cuddle with other people, but I haven't done anything, and you can't stand it?" she questioned.

Shu Yanyan was momentarily stunned, but as she reacted, she became even more embarrassed. "You... you spied on us?"

Even though Chu Yu had thick skin, hearing those words made her feel a bit guilty.

But the jealousy in her heart had overwhelmed everything, and this bit of guilt couldn't salvage her "conscience."

"I didn't spy." she played the rogue. "Looking at you, isn't it only natural?"

Shu Yanyan tried to struggle, saying, "So, is it also natural for you to press me down like this?"

The two of them were very close, and any small movement made by either side would be fully captured by the other.

The little rabbit trapped in Chu Yu's embrace began to squirm. She thought she was exerting force, but for the hunter, this slight movement was more like some kind of playfulness. Chu Yu allowed her to vent for a while, then took the opportunity to hold her waist and press Shu Yanyan completely against herself.

The tiny gap that still existed between them was completely eliminated by this action. Shu Yanyan felt like she had collided with a wall, a wall that was soft and warm, enveloping her entirely. Chu Yu's body heat transmitted through their clothes, and the warmth displaced some of the already thin oxygen in the air, making it even harder for her to breathe.

The little rabbit was startled, lifting her arms and leaning against Chu Yu's embrace, not daring to take another breath.

Sensing the person in her arms quiet down, Chu Yu lowered her head and saw Shu Yanyan's reddened ears.

Feeling mischievous, she pinched them lightly and asked with a gentle laugh, "Are you being honest now?"

Shu Yanyan held her breath and made a small request in a soft voice, "...Let me go."

Chu Yu's hand smoothly moved from Shu Yanyan's earlobe to the back of her neck.

She accurately found the Omega's vulnerable gland but refrained from touching it. Instead, she extended her index finger and circled around that spot.

It itched!

Shu Yanyan's whole body trembled all over.

The gland was the weak spot of every Omega, one of the most sensitive parts of their body. She subconsciously tried to avoid the hand at the back of her neck, only to realize that it would only push her further into Chu Yu's embrace.

Caught in a dilemma.

Seeing the little white rabbit quivering in her arms, Chu Yu's mood finally improved a bit.

She spoke in a gentle voice, trying to portray herself as a harmless presence. "You see, you're so innocent. How can you not be cautious and guard against bad people in your daily life?"

She leaned close to Shu Yanyan's ear, tempting in a seductive tone, "That person surnamed Fang is not a good person. Yanyan, don't meet her anymore, okay?"

Shu Yanyan was at a loss, on the verge of tears.

"...She's not a bad person."

The voice was barely audible, muffled by her mouth. Chu Yu didn't catch it clearly and asked, "What?"

However, Shu Yanyan thought that Chu Yu was dissatisfied with her response.

She shrank back and tried to negotiate, "Please, let me go first."

"No." Chu Yu refused.

Her hand stubbornly held onto Shu Yanyan's waist. "If I let go, Yanyan will run away."

Shu Yanyan couldn't hold back any longer.

The moist mist that had been swirling in her eyes coalesced into teardrops, falling down like broken strings.

"Sniff, I won't run away. It was you, it was you who ran away by yourself. Sniff..."

The exhaustion from the entire day at the amusement park, the sudden tension from the unexpected "attack," and the memories stirred up by Chu Yu's words about the past—all of it overwhelmed her ability to control herself.

At this moment, she just wanted to release her pent-up emotions.

Chu Yu was momentarily stunned.

This time, she did hear Shu Yanyan's words, but unfortunately, she couldn't comprehend what Shu Yanyan meant.

What did she mean by "it was you who ran away"?

When did she ever run away?

However, this wasn't the time for deep contemplation. The crying Shu Yanyan was her primary concern. Chu Yu simply assumed that she had misheard and lowered her head to comfort the whimpering little bunny snuggling in her embrace.

"Don't cry, don't cry."

She lowered her head and gently wiped away Shu Yanyan's tears.

In Chu Yu's memories, it had been a very long time since she had any recollection related to crying. She didn't know—

If a crying person received comfort, they were unlikely to immediately feel better.

They would only cry even more freely.

So Chu Yu was dumbfounded to find that the little bunny, who had initially been sobbing softly, was now crying louder and louder, tears pouring down like there was no tomorrow.

After living for so many years, Chu Yu experienced a feeling of complete helplessness for the first time.

Once she realized what was happening, she followed her impression of how to comfort someone and held Shu Yanyan tightly, gently patting her back.

"Yanyan, be good, stop crying. I'll do anything you want, just don't cry anymore, okay?"

Shu Yanyan: "Sob..."

Chu Yu felt like something was blocking her heart.

"If you're really upset, how about you scold me?" she suggested.

Shu Yanyan: "Sob... Hiccup!"

Crying to the point of hiccups.

Chu Yu held her hand. "Go ahead and hit me if it helps. I won't fight back. Let it out until you feel better, okay?"

Finally, Shu Yanyan showed some reaction.

She was truly angered by Chu Yu and actually followed her lead, squeezing her little fist and gave Chu Yu two punches on the shoulder.

Of course, the strength of Shu Yanyan's punches felt more like tickles to Chu Yu.

But she still pretended to be greatly affected, muttering, "Ouch, that hurts."

Shu Yanyan stopped her hand.

Chu Yu stopped pretending and sighed, asking, "I let you hit me, so why are you still crying?"

Shu Yanyan wiped her face on her own, still sniffling. She looked at Chu Yu and accused, "You, you're the bad person."

Chu Yu, who couldn't resist indulging her, nodded quickly, "Yes, yes, I'm the bad person."

Shu Yanyan continued to assert her position, "Suqing, Suqing is a good person, not a bad person."

Chu Yu's face turned a little green, but she spoke with a guilty conscience, "Hmm, she's a good person."

Shu Yanyan said, "You, you're not allowed to do this again. Let, let go of me."

Chu Yu secretly moved the hand that was patting her back downward and lightly circled it around her waist. "Hmm, I won't do it again."

Shu Yanyan sniffled, "I, I don't like you."

Chu Yu: "..."

She could compromise on the previous statements, but this one she simply couldn't agree with.

However, she didn't dare to stand up for herself at a time like this, so she could only lower her voice and softly argue, "Yanyan, you're just saying things out of anger."

Shu Yanyan paused for a moment, burying her head and continuing to shed tears.

Chu Yu couldn't help but feel distressed.

She asked, "I let you hit me and scold me, so why are you still crying?"

Sometimes, the release of emotions reaches a point where the person involved no longer has control over when it will stop.

Shu Yanyan also felt helpless and explained amidst her sobbing, "I... sniff... I don't know, I can't... I can't stop."

Chu Yu sighed.

She stared at Shu Yanyan for a while and suddenly blurted out, "If you keep crying, I'm going to kiss you."

Shu Yanyan was taken aback.

This statement had an unexpected effect. Startled by it, her tears momentarily stopped, showing signs that they might actually stop immediately.

Chu Yu gritted her teeth.

Seizing the opportunity while Shu Yanyan hadn't reacted yet, she quickly lowered her head and lightly touched the corner of her lips.

In that instant, both of them held their breath.

All the rustling sounds around them seemed to disappear, and Shu Yanyan's ears were filled with nothing but the resounding beats of her own heartbeat. Surprisingly, she forgot about crying and just stared blankly at Chu Yu.

Chu Yu felt an itch in her heart from that gaze, but she was afraid of making the person she had just managed to calm down cry again. She could only forcefully suppress her desires.

After taking a few deep breaths, Chu Yu finally dared to speak, "...See, it worked. You're not crying anymore."

Shu Yanyan: "..."

She seemed to mutter something under her breath, but Chu Yu couldn't hear clearly. She could only lean closer to the corner of her lips and ask, "Hmm, what did you say?"

Shu Yanyan raised her head slightly.

"...Still want to cry."

Their head seemed to be overwhelmed by the sudden rush of heat, as Chu Yu took several seconds to digest those short words.

She cradled Shu Yanyan's face and asked in a daze, "Still want to cry? Is that what you meant?"

Now it was Shu Yanyan, the person with an itchy tooth root, who had changed. Without thinking much, and after realizing her own desires, Shu Yanyan extended her arms and clasped Chu Yu's nape.

Chu Yu's eyes widened slightly, instinctively holding onto her waist. Then, in the next moment, their soft lips pressed together, almost making her legs go weak.

It was different from the previous light touch.

Their lips met, and Chu Yu slightly parted her lips, her tongue touching the soft flesh inside Shu Yanyan's mouth.

The indescribable sensation made her only know that there seemed to be some kind of magic, tempting her to lick, and lick again. The frequent advances were difficult for Shu Yanyan to resist. As the kiss deepened, a glistening trail of saliva was left at the corner of her mouth, but it was quickly swallowed by Chu Yu.

In a certain apartment room, a two-year-old girl's thoughts were no longer on the building blocks in front of her.

She anxiously looked at the little chubby bird, perched on the windowsill, and asked, "Guan Guan... Why hasn't Mommy, Auntie Fang and Tian Tian come back yet?"

Little Guan Guan sighed, "Haai..."

Yunmiao pouted, her round eyes losing their sparkle, "I... I want Mommy to come back!"

Finally, the little chubby bird made a move.

It withdrew its gaze from the windowsill and flew back to Yunmiao's side. "Yanyan... She needs a little more time before she can come back."

Yunmiao puffed out her cheeks, "Why?"

The little chubby bird gritted its teeth, "She has been kidnapped by a wicked dragon!"

Yunmiao's mouth opened wide, and after a moment of processing, her mouth drooped downwards, "Mommy, Mommy is going to be taken away?"

The little chubby bird raised its wings and covered its forehead, "No, she won't be taken away. She'll be back soon."

Yunmiao confirmed, "Really?"

The little chubby bird muttered to itself, "How would I know... But she shouldn't be capable of doing something as crazy as snatching someone back to the palace, right?...But she's acting pretty crazy right now!"

While silently criticizing in its mind, it still answered Yunmiao, "Really. Yanyan will defeat the wicked dragon and come back to be with you."

Yunmiao nodded, half believing and half skeptical, but she stopped worrying altogether.

She obediently resumed playing with the building blocks in front of her, entertaining herself while waiting for Shu Yanyan's return.

In a corner downstairs.

Chu Yu felt like she was going crazy.

She should have been inexperienced and unfamiliar with intimacy, considering it was her first time being so close to someone. But she realized that she had an inexplicable familiarity and understanding of Shu Yanyan's body.

It was as if she had some kind of inexplicable talent, being able to discern from Shu Yanyan's soft moans and whimpers whether she was comfortable or needed to slow down and adjust their breathing.

The two of them were like an old married couple. Chu Yu, as a supposed "inexperienced novice," managed to kiss Shu Yanyan until she went limp like a puddle.

At this moment, Chu Yu slightly raised her head. Their lips separated, and while Shu Yanyan lowered her head, gasping heavily,  Chu Yu's hand, as if guided, gently moved to the back of Shu Yanyan's neck.

Finding the gland precisely and pressed it, she felt the subtle trembling of the other person's body as she desired.

That inexplicable intuition was telling her—

Shu Yanyan is very comfortable right now...

And very obedient.

Very obedient.

So she can do whatever she wants.

Chu Yu's lips left the corner of Shu Yanyan's lips, kissed down all the way, and quickly arrived beside Omega's gland.

Shu Yanyan's state was already close to estrus, and as soon as Chu Yu approached her gland, she smelled a strong and sweet milk fragrance.

Sweet but not cloying.

There was not a single moment that made Chu Yu feel like she loved sweets more than she did now.

She was involuntarily drawn to it, and her lips and tongue came to the most fragrant area of that skin, gently licking it.

Shu Yanyan's gasps became even lower, and her body clung more to Chu Yu's weight.

In this moment of confusion and infatuation for both of them, Chu Yu opened her mouth, revealing her teeth.

She wanted to mark Shu Yanyan.

At the moment of biting, a familiar Alpha scent rushed towards her.

Chu Yu was actually mentally prepared for this.

Shu Yanyan had been marked by another Alpha before, and they even had their little daughter Yunmiao. There must still be traces of the other Alpha's pheromones in Shu Yanyan's gland.

But it didn't matter.

Alphas believe in the law of the jungle. Before biting, Chu Yu was absolutely confident that she could be able to mask every bit of the residual pheromones with her own.

However, when she sensed those faint traces of pheromones, she didn't feel any threat at all, not even the slightest hint of rejection.

This strange phenomenon left her somewhat perplexed, and she stood there blankly for a moment.

Just then, footsteps sounded from nearby, awakening Shu Yanyan from her trance.

She snapped out of her daze, and in a sudden motion, pushed Chu Yu away, who had almost bitten her gland.

Chu Yu stepped back, and a cool breeze took the opportunity to rush in. The breeze brought a slight sense of calm to both of them.

Shu Yanyan covered the location of her gland with one hand and took out the emergency medication that Omegas always carry from her pocket, spraying it into her mouth twice.

After a while, the scent of milk in the air gradually dissipated.

"I'm going back." Shu Yanyan stated in the calmest voice she could muster.

Chu Yu was taken aback, but her body reacted promptly, grabbing hold of Shu Yanyan's wrist.

She wanted to say something, to ask about the mark on the back of Shu Yanyan's neck, but when she opened her mouth, she realized there was no way to bring it up. So she decided not to dwell on these disappointing matters and simply asked, "Are you not angry anymore?"

Shu Yanyan blushed and replied, "I'm not angry."

Chu Yu smiled.

After what just happened, their relationship had taken a huge leap, and many things no longer needed to be explained.

Chu Yu thought for a moment and suddenly made a request, "Yunmiao mentioned... do you have a photo of Shu Qing in your hand? Can I take a look at it?"

Shu Yanyan looked a bit surprised.

She pondered for a moment and said, "Didn't you tell me before... that the past doesn't matter and we should focus on the future?"

Chu Yu felt a lump in her throat, feeling trapped by her own words.

She took a deep breath and said, "Indeed, the past doesn't matter... but for the sake of our future, I must resolve the matter concerning Shu Qing."

Shu Yanyan looked up at her.

After a moment, she nodded and said, "I understand."

Shu Yanyan glanced at the direction of her house and said, "I need to go back. Yunmiao is alone at home, and she might be getting anxious."

"As for the photo... I'll send it to you later using my smart brain."

Chu Yu nodded. "Okay."

Without exchanging any more words, Chu Yu silently escorted Shu Yanyan downstairs. She watched her go upstairs and waited for another two minutes before reluctantly turning to leave.

Little did Chu Yu know that after entering the apartment building, Shu Yanyan didn't immediately go home either.

She hid in the corridor, covering her still flushed face, quietly waiting for the turmoil in her heart to settle down.
