CHAPTER 1
In the early summer, with the bright sunshine gently intoxicating, the warmth of the sun made one's bones tingle.
In order to create the freshest flower-shaped pastry that perfectly matched her memories, Shu Yanyan plucked a petal of edible rose and brought it to her mouth for a taste. However, gradually, the rose petal in her mouth awakened a consciousness of its own, taking control and sensually licking her lips and the tip of her tongue.
Shu Yanyan let out a whimper and slowly woke up from her trance, only to realize that it wasn't a rose petal in her mouth but the lips and tongue of her own beautiful wife, even more alluring than any flower. She was just about to embrace her and deepen the kiss when her wife tilted her head back, avoiding her advances.
Shu Yanyan couldn't bear it and swallowed the moisture in her mouth, her eyes fixed on her wife's red lips.
Those lips lightly parted, saying, "It's about time for you to leave."
Though her words sounded restrained, the owner of those red lips intentionally ignited sensitive points all over Shu Yanyan's body. Shu Yanyan's earlobes were teased, causing an itch, and she reached out to grab her wife's neck, softly pleading, "Just one more, uh, one more kiss."
The beautiful face in front of her revealed a triumphant smile, as if rewarding her, and obediently leaned down again, capturing Shu Yanyan's lower lip.
She knew exactly how to please her partner, every movement teasing and arousing Shu Yanyan's nerves. When Shu Yanyan's breath became uneven from the kisses, she moved away from her lips and instead targeted the glands on the back of Shu Yanyan's neck. The glands were slightly swollen, and the skin there had turned a faint pink. Several clear marks, a mix of fresh and old bite marks, all left by her as her personal marks.
Clearly satisfied with this sight, she yielded to her possessiveness and licked over them again, savoring the rich taste of milk.
"Mmm—" Shu Yanyan curled her toes in pleasure, her whole body trembling slightly.
At a critical moment, there was a sound coming from the baby crib in the room. Shu Yanyan snapped back to reality, finally realizing the compromising situation she was in. She pulled her disheveled shirt closed with one hand and placed the other on her partner's shoulder, softly pleading, "Not now... We have to go to the Central Plaza this afternoon."
Her partner had no intention of letting her go, holding onto her waist and reminding her, "You were the one who asked for it."
Shu Yanyan couldn't argue with her, blushing and begging, "How about tonight... Is that okay?"
Reluctantly agreeing to this condition, her partner reluctantly pecked at the glands on the back of her neck, lingering for a moment before stepping back.
Taking the opportunity, Shu Yanyan hurried into the bathroom, freshened up quickly, and grabbed her things to prepare to leave.
At the entrance, her beautiful wife held their few months old baby to bid her farewell. Shu Yanyan lowered her head and played with the baby, who laughed and danced with joy. Shu Yanyan's heart softened, but she was afraid of delaying any longer and missing her bus. Hastily, she planted a kiss on the baby's cheek and looked up at her beautiful wife, saying, "I really have to go now. I won't catch the bus if I'm any later."
"You've worked hard taking care of the baby today. I'll be back as soon after I finish shopping." she added.
Naturally, the two of them exchanged a gentle kiss, and her beautiful wife's slender fingers mischievously caressed her glands. Shu Yanyan's face turned crimson, and she escaped, opening the door and rushing out.
"Wait for me, I'll bring something delicious for you and the baby when I come back!"
She heard the other person laugh lightly, with a voice that could make anyone's legs weak: "Just give it to Yunmiao. After all, for me...
"There's nothing tastier than you."
Understanding the implied meaning in the other person's words, Shu Yanyan blushed and ran away.
The afternoon's shopping went very smoothly. She carried a bunch of bags and deliberately went to the best-rated flower shop to buy a small bouquet of a new variety of baby's breath for her beautiful wife. However, her good mood only lasted a few hours. When Shu Yanyan returned to her home downstairs, she found her house surrounded by a group of Federal police.
She left her old but warm little home, the two-story building where she had lived for two years, which was now reduced to rubble, turned into scorched earth.
The items in Shu Yanyan's arms fell to the ground, and she desperately wanted to rush forward but was stopped by the prepared police officers. But she was too agitated, and a few Alpha officers struggled to restrain her as an Omega. In the end, a female police officer brought a bundle to her and placed it in front of her. Shu Yanyan then reluctantly calmed down, sitting on the ground while holding the baby.
"This place was attacked by T-star pirates, and the original building no longer exists. We found three burnt bodies of the pirates at your home, as well as a miraculously unharmed baby."
After digesting this information, Shu Yanyan grabbed the officer's sleeve and asked, "What about my wife? Have you seen my wife? She's an Alpha woman, tall and very beautiful, wearing a light blue..."
"I'm sorry, ma'am." the officer's voice was very cold. "There were no other findings at the scene. It is speculated that your partner has either been taken hostage or melted away in the gunfire, with no trace of a body."
"No, it's impossible! N-No no, it can't be true!" Shu Yanyan collapsed, pushing the officer away and hunching over to hold her daughter. Overwhelmed by the piercing pain, she couldn't bear it any longer and cried uncontrollably as if there was no one else around.
.....
"Ding-Ling-Ling—"
Shu Yanyan was awakened from her shallow sleep by the ringing sound. She opened her eyes in confusion, only to realize that she had dreamt about that afternoon again.
Originally, she was just an ordinary young girl from modern Earth. After graduating from university, she inherited her family's pastry shop and thrived in her business. But fate had a different plan for her, and on her 23rd birthday, Shu Yanyan woke up to find herself as a young Omega girl in a remote federation of the interstellar era.
Fortunately, fate had been somewhat kind to her. On a foreign planet, she met an Alpha woman who also had no past, and under various circumstances, the two fell in love and had a lovely baby girl.
Shu Yanyan had always liked girls and had never imagined she could have a child with her beloved. She was content and believed she could live a happy life in this era. However, fate played a cruel joke on her. Just like in her dream, on a warm summer afternoon, she lost her partner.
But Shu Yanyan didn't believe for a moment that her beautiful wife was dead. She took care of their child alone while waiting for news. The efficiency of the federation's procedures was too slow, and a month ago, Shu Yanyan made a bold decision—to immigrate to the powerful Huaqi Empire with her daughter, intending to settle down in the Empire and hire a professional team to continue the search for her missing lover.
Early this morning, she had just dropped off her daughter, Shu Yunmiao, at a local nursery in the capital. Now, she finally realized that the call that woke her up was a reminder.
Shu Yanyan regained her senses and answered the call.
On the other end of the line was a teacher from the Qimingxing Nursery.
"Hello, is this Yunmiao's mother? Yunmiao got into a fight with another child at the nursery. Can you come over now?"
Shu Yanyan responded, "I'll be right there."
She took a taxi to the nursery's office, and as soon as she entered, she saw Yunmiao standing in the corner. When their eyes met, Yunmiao obediently smiled at Shu Yanyan.
Shu Yanyan approached her and carefully examined her body. "Sweetie, are you hurt?"
Yunmiao raised her small face and shook her head. "No, Mommy~"
Shu Yanyan had just let out a sigh of relief when her little one asked carefully, "Even if I'm not hurt, can Mommy still hold me?"
Shu Yanyan's heart melted instantly, and she quickly lifted the little girl up and smiled, saying, "Of course you can." She kissed Yunmiao's cheek and asked, "Tell Mommy what happened?"
Yunmiao said, "Today, Mommy made egg rolls, and during lunchtime, I shared them with the other kids in my class."
"Okay," nodded Shu Yanyan.
This was something she specifically instructed Yunmiao to do. Yunmiao was a new student, and she hoped that her daughter could quickly establish good relationships with her classmates.
"But then a kid from another class suddenly rushed in, and I gave mine to him. After he finished eating, he wanted mine again!" Yunmiao puffed her cheeks. "I didn't have any left, so he tried to snatch it from someone else who hadn't finished eating!"
Shu Yanyan paused for a moment and then asked, "...So, Yunmiao, you got into a fight with him?"
Yunmiao pursed her lips. "I tried to reason with him."
Shu Yanyan wanted to ask more, but the school teacher waved at them, calling them over.
The parent of the boy who was hit had also arrived, and now the boy's mother stood in front of the surveillance video, glaring at Shu Yanyan with righteous indignation. "What kind of person are you to teach your child like this? Your little girl just physically pushed someone instead of talking it out. Is this how you raise a child?"
Shu Yanyan didn't respond immediately. Instead, she waked over to examine the situation for herself. After a moment, she politely requested the teacher, "I would like to hear the conversation between Yunmiao and the two people before the pushing. Is that possible?"
The teacher nodded and played the audio. Soon, the young boy's childish yet venomous words echoed through the office, "Who do you think you are to boss me around? Your mother doesn't even want you, you're the bad kid!"
In the video, little Yunmiao clearly froze, but after a moment, she retorted angrily, "My mother does want me!"
The young boy made a mocking face at her. "I heard it myself. Teacher Huang said in the office that you're a kid from a single-parent family, without a mother. You're the unwanted bad kid!" He was very arrogant. "Give me all the egg rolls quickly, or I'll tell Ah Cai to bite you!"
Ah Cai was a robotic dog sitting next to him. In the interstellar era, wealthier families would provide their children with electronic pets as companions, and these electronic pets could also serve as protection for the children when necessary, such as shocking criminals or automatically alerting authorities.
Upon hearing the command, Ah Cai barked at Yunmiao.
At this moment, Yunmiao in the video suddenly pushed the boy. Caught off guard, the boy fell to the ground. He attempted to retaliate once he got up, but the on-duty teacher arrived and stopped him.
Yunmiao, who was still lying in Shu Yanyan's arms, lowered her head and explained softly, "I... I didn't know that the dog was fake. I got scared and accidentally pushed him."
The boy's mother sneered contemptuously, "Where did this country bumpkin come from? You don't even know about a simulated electronic pet?"
She looked Shu Yanyan up and down, mockingly saying, "Oh well, I heard you just came from a poor and remote place. I suppose you couldn't afford an electronic pet either?"
Yunmiao lowered her head even further, unable to say anything.
Shu Yanyan said, "Hah."
The people around were drawn by her cold laughter and looked in her direction. Shu Yanyan showed no fear and met the gaze of the boy's mother, asking in return, "If your child can afford an electronic pet, why is his behavior so poor in quality? Do you not see any problem with the things he said?"
The boy's mother stubbornly raised her eyebrows and argued, "What did he say? Aren't they all true? My child has a good memory. he can remember everything the teachers say."
Shu Yanyan took a deep breath. "We are not a single-parent family. Yunmiao's other mother loves our child just as much as I do. Yunmiao can apologize for accidentally pushing someone, but your child also needs to take responsibility for his words and actions and apologize to Yunmiao!"
The boy's mother started throwing a tantrum. "Are you crazy? There's no way my precious baby will apologize!"
Shu Yanyan knew that it was impossible to communicate with someone like her. She looked down and saw the simulated robotic dog on the ground. After a moment's thought, she spoke, "Ah Cai, what should a child do if they use malicious words to attack others?"
This electronic pet of the boy's family had a low level of intelligence, but it was connected to the Empire's Children's Education Platform, responsible for guiding children. Shu Yanyan asked a common question, so even though she wasn't Ah Cai's owner, Ah Cai responded in an electronic voice, "Using malicious words to attack others is wrong. The child must apologize to the other person promptly~"
Shu Yanyan looked up at the boy's mother. "Even a dog knows this lesson. Are you planning to pretend not to understand?"
The faces of the boy's parents turned pale.
Inside the office, several nursery teachers covered their mouths and laughed, mocking the boy's parents, whispering to each other.
"Haha, someone is living less intelligently than a dog."
"Tsk, with parents like this, it's no wonder the child developed such a personality."
"Their family has always been arrogant. Finally, they've met someone who can discipline them!"
The boy's mother kicked Ah Cai in anger, unable to hide her embarrassment. She grabbed the boy and pointed her finger while scolding, "What's so special about those snacks? Don't we buy you enough snacks at home normally?"
The boy had a stubborn temper and shouted at his mother, "Egg rolls are delicious, and I've never had them before! I want her egg rolls!"
Shu Yanyan kindly refused, "Egg rolls are for friendly children. Unfortunately, we don't welcome you."
Upon hearing this, the boy burst into tears, wailing, "No, no! I want them! I want them!"
The boy's mother's face turned red.
Unable to stay any longer, she didn't even say goodbye and hurriedly dragged the boy away in embarrassment.
